Live Virtual Classes (LVC) are instructor led online classes lasting around 90 minutes. You use your own PC and get to practise the materials during the classClasses are limited to 4 delegates ensuring that everyone gets the attention they need.

Getting Started

(Level 1)

If you are new to Word and need to understand the basics, this is the class for you. You will cover the basic principles including creating, editing and saving a document. You'll learn the quick ways to find, select and change text. And you'll cover the basic formatting tools that will make your document look professional.

Formatting a Document

(Level 1)

Being able to format well in Word makes a document easier to read, to understand and more presentable. You will not only practice how to format text , you will learn how to control which page text is on and how to use sections to change the orientation of pages mid-document. You will also use styles and themes to enhance a spreadsheet and create your own so you can reuse them when needed.

Enhancing a Document I

(Level 2)

You can create a basic document but you want to be able to do more.  This class will cover how to add and work with text boxes, pictures and shapes.  This will allow you to move from creating basic documents to creating flyers and news letters that catch the eye and the imagination.

Enhancing a Document II

(Level 2)

Your documents need more than just text. They need diagrams, tables of data and charts. In this class you will learn how to add, edit and enhance these objects to bring your document up to the next level of professionalism.

Reviewing

(Level 3)

Many documents need to be reviewed by others before they can be used or published. Whether you are a reviewer or you are the author getting your document reviewed, this class will show you the tools available. It will allow you to review and be reviewed efficiently and effectively.

Mail Merge

(Level 3)

You need to be able to contact many people on a distribution list but you want the communication to be personalised. This you can do using mail merge whether you are planning to send an email or a letter, this facility allows you to connect with each individual personally.

Large Document Tools

(Level 3)

If you work on larger documents, creating an outline and being able to combine documents are essential skills when you design, set up and work on your document.  Also, the ability to add references such as a Table of Contents, an Index, Citations and a Bibliography ensures that references are acknowledged. In this class you will learn how to use these tools.
